About
Greetings and salutations,
The Achlysian is a loose creative project and blog of me, the author, a woman who prefers to remain anonymous. Everything here is a highly personal culmination of my creative endeavors that aim to exist outside of the modern age need for constant validation and concerns over quality or uniqueness. It is the voice in my head who forces me to stop overthinking and simply create before, one day, I will be unable to do so anymore. Life is fragile and art is eternal. The Achlysian helps me appreciate both by convincing me with their words of wisdom: « Achlys damn it, we shalt ball. ».
Beside them stood Death-Mist [Ἀχλὺς (Achlys)], gloomy and dread, pallid, parched, cowering in hunger, thick-kneed; long claws were under her hands. From her nostrils flowed mucus, from her cheeks blood was dripping down onto the ground. She stood there, grinning dreadfully, and much dust, wet with tears, lay upon her shoulders.- Hesoid, The Shield of Heracles, ca. 7th-6th century BCE
Thus, you will find many creations of varying maturity in this secluded corner of the net. Most of it is focused on fantasy literature, music, clumsy attempts at philosophical thought and, as you might have guessed, a romanticized adoration of what has once been. Few things are revolutionizing or never seen before, but all of them are intimate and a proof of my existence.
I'd be delighted to hear from you on my Bluesky. If you'd like to get into contact directly, please reach out at author@achlysian.org.
